+ CLAY HANDBUILDING WORKSHOP

Delicate. Gentle. Tender. Steady.

Redirect your senses from the vibrant external world to embrace the softness of clay. Immerse yourself in the unfolding of this natural process, discovering the nuanced balance of pressure required to mold and shape it in the cradle of your hands. This is your space to commune with your creative essence, guided solely by intuition.

We are going to fire and glaze your pieces. As soon as they are ready to be picked up to find a new home, you'll be informed. It usually takes 3-4 weeks. In addition to your hands, wooden tools are used in the handbuilding technique to mold the form. There will be no pottery wheel work done in this workshop.

EXPERIENCES FROM OUR PAST EVENTS

FAQ’S

1. Do people come together, in groups or alone?

50% of attendees are joining us alone and are ready to make new friends and have a good time. The other 50% come with their best friend, partner, mother, father, sister, brother, or group of friends and family.

2. What level of yoga?

Yoga is for everyone from beginners to advanced practitioners. Please let us know of any injuries or special medical conditions before our first day of meeting. We'll observe and suggest adjustments to your pose according to your physical needs. You are free to tailor the practice to suit your needs and we are here to talk about your practice anytime.

3. What level is the clay workshop?
The clay workshops are intended for people who are into the material and want to know more about it and take time to connect the flow of creativity with their yoga practice. Also more experienced people in pottery art are welcome but please be aware that you can only take a limited amount of pieces home with you.

4. Sometimes things break :(

Drying, firing and glazing are delicate processes. We give our best to finish your beauty but we cannot guarantee that all objects survive the journey. In case something happens to your piece during the process we will inform you and find a solution (e.g. participation at the clay part of one of the next events)

5. Glazing and pickup

All pieces are glazed by us. You can choose your glaze color at the event. It usually takes 4-6 weeks until you can pick up your piece. Please bring a bag to transport your treasure home safely.

6. What Languages do you speak?

Yoga and clay classes are held in English but everything can be explained in German.
